Whatever Happened To Ian Chesterton?

The last we ever saw of one of the Doctor's earliest companions was he and Barbara jumping into a Dalek time machine, ready to resume their deathly boring lives as schoolteachers, after spending years running from one black and white world to another, facing cardboard monsters and dutifully looking the other way when William Hartnell forgot his lines. Why would they ever want to leave?

But lo! The story didn't end there! Because apparently Ian ended up in the wrong London! As evidenced by this letter to the editor in The London Free Press, dated this very day!

New Television Show
As an educator, I must write to express my displeasure at the new cartoon show--'SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP'. This animated program details the daily life of teachers in the darkest light I have ever seen, making us all seem like drunkards and perverts. Is this entertainment? Why can't we simply get the respect from the cartoon makers that we so deeply deserve? Who taught these kids to draw, anyway?

I'm happy I'm retiring with my wife Barbara soon, that's all I can say.
